The seminar given by Sifu Stephen Britt on Saturday was very informative and helpful. Thank you Sifu for the knowledge you share with us.

WOW, is about all I can say both for the banquet and the terrific success it was and the feedback that Sifu received from those attending. It is great that people were brought together in appreciation not only of the art of Tai Chi but the spirit of the art.             M

As students of Sifu Marchewitz, it was our pleasure and honor to attend the banquet.  You are to be congratulated for organizing and hosting such an enormously successful event. It truly was a special evening - filled with respect, love, and fellowship - along with great demonstrations, interesting commentary, and delicious food.

Thank you very much!              J and N

Thank you for organizing such a wonderful banquet on Sunday.  Everyone at my table seemed to have a great time.  Thanks again - S.

Thank you for the banquet!  Your goal of making it joyful, loving,
entertaining and fun was well accomplished!  Lots of training and
hard work went into the demonstrations and it showed.  Everything was
very well done and there is much to be proud of!  The food was good,
too.              K.

.  We all had a wonderful time at the banquet. I had a great time at my table.  and the ladies had fun at their table.  I thank you for the opportunity for me and my family to witness such an event.  God Bless and see you in class.               C.

I just wanted to let you know that I had a fantastic time at the banquet.  The ceremony and demonstrations were excellent.                  J.

The online class was GREAT! A lot of information and fun too. Thank you Sifu for bringing this to us and for sharing your wealth of knowledge.                 M

Dear Sifu- thank you so much for your presentation on meditation on Saturday. You helped to put things together for me. As I do the form and pace my breathing- movement inside and movement outside combine for a greater whole and a sense of wellbeing. As a therapist and a teacher, I to enjoy helping others, and find the more I give and the more I am open to receive I benefit as well. I have been using progressive muscle relaxation, visualization and abdominal breathing training in my depression groups. I've incorporated them into an anxiety group program that we will be doing at Ford. These folks do not have Tai Chi to use as their meditation. I feel truly blessed that I do.. I find that I use the internal inventory quite a lot. It is one of the things that I try to teach my patients - to be aware of muscle tension, negative thinking and monitoring their mood.  We really can't stop thinking, but we can we reframe our thoughts, and change our response. I loved your comment that meditation is allowing thoughts to flow unobstructed, and that the mind will quiet as you let it go to get to a place you've never been. What a image of peace and restoration.
 Thank you.                   K.

Just a little note to say how much I enjoyed the seminar on meditation. I find things popping into my head throughout the day on what was talked about. How to use Tai Chi for handling stress, the different levels of the mind, and how Tai Chi is more than just a form was very interesting. On a personal note, the last couple of months I found after class, I had an up feeling, and found that it even lasted into the next work day. Shrugging it off as having a nice outing to class the night before. But, now I realize its the Tai Chi itself that is doing it. The meditation, mind, and energy that is there. (besides the good company. lol) Somewhat related is my favorite quote from Henry Ford, "Think you can, think you can't, you are right."                S.

It was a great weekend for connecting with other students in the school
through the seminar and the demonstrations.  As a student at the Rochester
Community House I want to say thanks to the students from other locations
who took the time and made the effort to participate in the demonstration.

I have seen demonstrations on video but to see the live demonstration of the
sword form by Sifu Steve was evidence of the difference between live and
"Memorex".  To me it was an opportunity to really witness Tai Chi.

A former Community House student who attended the demonstration and quit
attending classes about a year ago said he will see us on Tuesday!  I hope
he comes.

-B. Ulrich

The response from our demonstration at the Rochester Community House was much more than I expected and a positive experience. Thank you Sifu Steve for honoring us with your sword form......A. Calhoun   7/24/2005

Love the chat room. I am looking forward to the online classes................Marci

Well we did a demonstration today.......

sort of..............

We all arrived at the location in good order, eager and ready to uplift the spirits of all who witnessed the splendor of our technique. The venue was a corporate employee appreciation picnic. It was raining. There were tents set up for food which were crowded with employees. We stood around waiting for anyone to show recognition that we were there. No one noticed us. The organizers seemed to be completely unaware that we were scheduled to demonstrate. We were not 'on the list'. We exchanged good natured jibes amongst ourselves, returned to our cars, and left.

It was good to see Barry, who was able to attend in a gap in the horrendous work schedule he is coping with.

These things happen. Many thanks to all those who made the effort to attend!   7/16/2005

It is too bad we didn't get to "do our stuff" but it was good to see everyone on the weekend.............Marci  7/18/2005
